My question is ,OS is an yet another file .So why are we not copying it to the flash drive instead of burning it..what is the difference between burning and copy /moving
Usually, the computer boots from the file containing the OS. When we copy/move files the flash drive didn't behave as a boot drive so it boots the OS first. If we burn the file then the computer boots the flash drive first.
Sudhakar thanks for your solution .so burning the flash needs any special software or it can be done with any built in software ?
Rishikesh You can burn windows files easily. In windows, you can use diskpart and In Linux, you can use dd command. But you need a software like Rufus, unetbootin, etcher or any other software to burn the Linux files.
